Anime for beginners!

Updated: Dec 1, 2018

Are you wanting to start watching anime but don't know where to begin? Let Meganime help by showing you a few easy picks.

For those who are looking for action and adventure, we suggest Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin). It is one of our top 10 picks for various reasons. It has mystery, action and adventure twisted in a tale created by Hajime Isayama. This is also has a upcoming 3rd season in July.

For those looking for some light laughs in a slice of life comedy, we suggest checking out Daily lives of High School Boys (Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou). It only has the one season but the comedy is PG and in many cases, true to life.

Now if you're looking for something with a bit harder comedy, we suggest looking into Gintama. A mainstay of anime fans, it has been on for over 7 seasons. Just when you think it is finished, the studio surprises fans with another season. Full of R rated laughs and a lot of bleeps and blurs, Gintama is definitely worth checking out. Especially with all the spoofing they do on other anime.

For the ecchi fans, we suggest the ever popular High School DxD. Now, this anime is NSFW. It has a ton of boobs and butts, and underneath it has a pretty cool plot. It has 3 seasons with a 4th emerging.....this month! We suggest you get caught up.....

This is probably the cleanest clip we could find for High School DxD. It doesn't do the anime justice to say the least. It is jam packed with enough fan service to satisfy an army of perverts.

Now for the more serious fans looking for substance and well developed characters, we suggest taking a look at Psycho-Pass. It is set in a sci-fi dystopian society in Japan. With very well developed characters and plot, it is one of our top 10 picks.

Looking for Drama? Something with the feels. Once again we will go with one of our favorites, Erased (Boku dake ga inai machi). It hits on some touchy topics, serial murders and child abuse. It will have you guessing til the end with a twist of mystery and supernatural.
